Summer Camp FAQs

When and where do I bring my camper on the first day of camp?

Camp drop-off begins 15 minutes before the start of camp in the designated location.

What forms do I need to fill out and bring on the first day?

A camp administrator will email you the specific forms for your camp before the first day. If you’re unable to fill out the online forms, your camper will receive paper copies on the first day of camp, which can be handed in on the second day.

What is the earliest/latest time I can drop off/pick up my camper?

Campers can be dropped off at the designated location 15 minutes before the camp. They can be picked up right at the end of camp. If you need to drop off or pick up at a different time, please communicate with the summer camp team.

Is there a sign-in/out policy?

All campers must be signed in and out of Lethbridge Polytechnic Summer Camps by the designated person(s) indicated on the Camper Information and Consent Form.

Parents may allow children 13 years and older to sign themselves out. Such permission must be indicated on the Camper Information and Consent Form.

For campers that are not noted as self-sign out, parents and authorized individuals will be asked to present photo ID when picking up their child.

Do I need to pack a lunch for my camper?

For half-day or active camps, please pack snacks and water for your child.  For full-day camps, please also pack a lunch or bring money for the food court.

My camper has a peanut allergy. Are the camps nut-free?

Lethbridge Polytechnic Summer Camps encourages all campers to refrain from bringing nut products to camp. However, Lethbridge Polytechnic is an open campus, and therefore we cannot guarantee that there will be no exposure to nut products while at camp.

What items should my camper bring?

Please ensure your camper brings the following items to camp each day:

  • water bottle
  • bagged lunch
  • appropriate clothing based on the camp
  • any self-administered medication (Ventolin inhaler, Epipen etc.)
  • If you are interested in purchasing a gift card to be used at the food court please contact youth.initiatives@lethpolytech.ca

Please ensure all valuables are left at home. Lethbridge Polytechnic Summer Camps are not responsible for any damage, loss or theft of personal items brought to camp.
