Success stories
"I had the privilege of participating in the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program at the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience. This program provided me with six credits towards my Business Administration diploma at Lethbridge [Polytechnic], but the value I received went far beyond just credits.
From the beginning, my WIL instructor, Natalie Barfuss, and my manager, Ashley Frank, went above and beyond to ensure that the work I was doing at the Chamber was relevant to my coursework and helped me achieve my goals. They provided regular support and guidance, and I was able to grow and develop in ways that I never would have imagined.
One of the most impactful aspects of the program was the weekly reports I submitted. This allowed me to track my progress and document my growth, and it was a great way to reflect on what I had learned and what I still needed to work on. Additionally, working at the Chamber gave me the chance to develop my professional skills, make important connections in the business community and expand my network.
By the end of my WIL term, I was offered a full-time position at the Chamber and I couldn't be more thrilled. This experience has given me the confidence and skills I need to succeed in my future career, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities WIL and the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce provided for me.
I highly recommend the WIL program to anyone looking to enhance their education and career prospects. It truly exceeded all of my expectations and I am confident that it will do the same for anyone who participates."
