Shayne Dahl
General Studies 2004
Shayne Dahl credits instructors at Lethbridge College for igniting his passion for learning. An uninspired high school student, he used his time at college to develop academic skills. He graduated with a college diploma and a career direction. He went on to earn bachelor, master and doctorate degrees. In 2022, he’s a post-doctoral fellow at the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies at Harvard University, and he’s a recipient of a two-year Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship, one of Canada’s most prestigious post-graduate awards. The journey started here.

"My time at Lethbridge College was invaluable. It opened my eyes to the world, taught me to embrace change and adapt, and maybe most importantly, helped me find my passion for my community and the people in it. The broad learning that happened at the college allowed me to adapt to any career that is relationship-focused."
