Sim Hub
Our award-winning Simulation Hub provides hands-on experience in highly realistic scenarios. It is one of only four such centres in Canada accredited internationally by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

• TWO-YEAR DIPLOMA
Make a difference in others’ lives by becoming a key team player in today’s interdisciplinary health-care team. Our program educates students to the full scope of practice as identified by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta. You will be taught hands-on skills in the lab setting and will receive over 700 hours of work-integrated learning experiences in acute and long-term care settings.
Requirements: High school diploma and Grade 12 English (30-1 with min 60% or 30-2 with min. 70%) and Grade 12 Math (30-1 or 30-2 or 20-1 with min. 60%) and Grade 12 Biology (30) with min. 60%
• SIX-MONTH CERTIFICATE • SEPTEMBER ADMISSION
Ready to return to the work you love? With our online Practical Nurse Refresher program, you will be able to learn where you live. The courses will reintroduce you to current key nursing concepts that are evidence- informed, concept-based and critical thinking focused. A 240-hour work-integrated learning experience will allow you to practice your theoretical knowledge and begin your transition back into the field.

Start your journey with us toward becoming a leading health-care professional. On our campus,mwe offer smaller class sizes, integrated labs and unparalleled work-integrated learning experiences. Your education will include theoretical knowledge, hands-on practice within our simulation lab environment and clinical practice within real-world settings. After two years with Lethbridge Polytechnic, you’ll proceed to the University of Lethbridge to complete your degree.

Learn about the science of physical activity. Using contemporary equipment, you’ll break a sweat during classroom assignments that involve indoor and outdoor activities. Along with this, you’ll have plenty of practical opportunities to work with actual clients preparing you for a career after graduation.

The health-care sector is one of the largest and most complex in Canada, providing a broad range of career opportunities from direct patient/client care to related teaching and research. It’s so broad that you may have an interest but not have a clear direction you want to take. The Health Sciences certificate program offers a way for you to explore your interest, gain foundational knowledge and take courses that are transferable to a diploma or degree.

• TWO-YEAR DIPLOMA
As a massage therapist, you will provide massage therapy treatments to a diverse clientele. Graduates can either open practices or find themselves working in health and wellness clinics or the spa industry. Our 2,200 hour nationally accredited program provides students with the knowledge and training to succeed.

• 26-WEEK CERTIFICATE • SEPTEMBER ADMISSION
You’ll learn online how to handle, clean, sterilize, assemble, function test and package surgical instruments while developing an understanding of how microbiology, infection control and aseptic techniques are integrated into the work you’ll be doing.

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and can think quickly during critical situations? Are you interested in working in first response? Consider a career as a Medical First Responder.

As a medical office assistant and unit clerk, you’ll play a vital role in managing the flow of communication within the health-care setting. This includes transcribing and processing health-care orders, communicating as part of the multidisciplinary team, and managing patient records.

Advance your career in emergency medical services in the Primary Care Paramedic program. Utilizing a combination of simulation training, and 240 hours of work-integrated learning, this program can get you started on the path to becoming an advanced care paramedic. Not for the faint of heart, a career in emergency medical services is challenging yet rewarding.
