Lethbridge Polytechnic was the first post-secondary institution in Canada to sign an AGCO Advantage partnership agreement, meaning you’ll be training on the latest industry-standard equipment inside the institution’s Western Tractor Technology lab. Of the four years in this apprenticeship you will be spending 80 per cent of it on the job, learning from qualified technicians in the field; that’s 6,240 hours of on-the-job training! The agriculture industry is crucial to our food supply and keeping farm equipment running is a necessity you’ll be able to provide as an agricultural equipment technician.

The Agricultural Equipment Technician program is an apprenticeship program delivered face-to-face on campus but may have some blended and hyflex components.
Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship programs require eight to 12 weeks of classroom training each year in addition to on-the-job training. You’ll work with an employer and our experienced instructors to gain the best of both worlds as you work and earn money while training.
On Campus
This program is delivered in a face-to-face format on the main Lethbridge Polytechnic campus. Lectures, labs and hands-on training opportunities will all take place on campus in Lethbridge.
