Criminal Justice degree students benefit from research experience

Course-based applied research projects led by students in the Bachelor of Criminal Justice program will not only make them more employable within public safety but further cement Lethbridge Polytechnic’s community and industry connections.

Nearly 60 fourth-year students are tackling a variety of research projects for the first time since the bachelor’s degree program was established at the polytechnic in the fall of 2023. Student Zane Johnson sees the benefits of applied research in his chosen career path as a parole or probation officer.

The Lethbridge Polytechnic speaker series is back, featuring Juno Award-winning musician, bestselling author and founder of Reimagine AI, David Usher. Students, employees and community members are invited to attend a fireside chat on Artificial Intelligence and the Power of Creative Thinking at 6 p.m. March 12 on campus.

Lethbridge Polytechnic golf tournament returns this summer

After a six-year hiatus, Lethbridge Polytechnic is proud to announce the return of one of the community’s most-popular golf tournaments. The Lethbridge Polytechnic golf tournament will take place Aug. 28 at the Lethbridge Country Club and will raise funds for student-athletes as well as Kodiaks Athletics programs.

Lethbridge Polytechnic Simulation Hub now internationally accredited

After two years of preparation and a rigorous application process, Lethbridge Polytechnic's Simulation Hub in the Centre for Health and Wellness is now internationally accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) – making it one of four post-secondary institutions in Canada to achieve such accreditation.

Lethbridge Polytechnic announces newly named Alberta Professional Outfitters Society Wildlife Conservation Lab

Lethbridge Polytechnic, in recognition of significant contributions made by the Alberta Professional Outfitters Society (APOS), has officially named its wildlife teaching lab the Alberta Professional Outfitters Society Wildlife Conservation Lab. Over the last two years, APOS has generously donated nearly $350,000 to the polytechnic in the shared pursuit of enhancing Canadian wildlife conservation.
