After a successful return last year, the Lethbridge Polytechnic’s golf tournament presented by KB Heating, Plumbing and Air Conditioning will tee off again Aug. 27. Held at the Lethbridge Country Club, the community-favourite event will raise funds for Kodiaks student-athlete scholarships.

“Our team is very excited to welcome golfers back for a special day at the Lethbridge Country Club,” says Todd Caughlin, Athletics and Recreation Services director. “We would like to thank the community and our sponsors for their incredible generosity in making last year's event a huge success, and we look forward to seeing everyone who can make it in August.”

New and returning groups are welcome to attend. Up to 144 spots are available and spaces fill quickly, so register early to secure your spot on the links.

“We would also like to thank our returning tournament title sponsor KB Heating, Plumbing and Air Conditioning,” says Caughlin. “Their generosity directly supports student scholarships, giving them the boost they need to succeed on the court, track or pitch and in the classroom.”

The Lethbridge Polytechnic golf tournament has a longstanding tradition of connecting Lethbridge-area business, industry and community leaders, and has raised more than $1 million for student-athlete scholarships over its history.

Sponsorship opportunities are available but limited. To register for the tournament, or to learn more about sponsorships, contact Pam Purnell, development officer, by email at  pam.purnell@lethpolytech.ca, phone at 403-616-4697 or visit www.lethpolytech.ca/golf.

Funds raised help ease the financial burden on student-athletes, allowing them to focus on their studies, training and community involvement – part of Kodiaks Athletics’ broader mission to foster leadership, resilience and academic success.
