As the fall semester draws to a close and winter break approaches, Lethbridge Polytechnic is advising of upcoming reduced hours and closures for on-campus services.

All polytechnic entrances will be closed at 6 p.m. Dec. 24. Entrances in Centre Core, Paterson, Physical Education and Technologies buildings will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 25 through Jan. 1. Regular entrance hours will resume Jan. 2.

The campus Food Court will close at 2 p.m. Dec. 22 and 23, and remain closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2, reopening Jan. 5. Tim Hortons will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 12, offer reduced hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 15 and 16 and will be closed from Dec. 17 to Jan. 4. It will reopen at 7 a.m. Jan. 5.

Recreation Services, which includes the fitness centre, Val Matteotti Gymnasium, change rooms and squash and racquetball courts, will close at noon Dec. 24 and remain closed all day Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1. Reduced hours of operation are as follows:

  • Open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 27, 28 and 31
  • Open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 29 and 30

Regular Recreation Services hours will resume Friday, Jan. 2.

The Buchanan Library will be closed Dec. 13, 20 and 21, and operate on reduced hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Dec. 15 to 23. The library will close at noon Dec. 24 and remain closed from Dec. 25 to Jan. 1. Regular hours, published online, resume Jan. 2

The first day of classes for the Winter Semester is Jan. 5.
