Wider Horizons magazines on a table

Lethbridge Polytechnic’s Marketing, Communications and External Engagement team has been recognized for its work on Wider Horizons, the institution’s alumni and community magazine. The Winter, Spring and Fall 2024 issues received a total of 11 industry awards on the provincial, regional and international level.

Wider Horizons earned a silver award from the international Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Circle of Excellence competition; a “best of” award from the regional CASE District VIII competition (consisting of submissions from the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada); and was named Magazine of the Year by the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association while also taking top honours in the Photograph: People and Portraiture category.

“I’m honoured and deeply grateful for our amazing team whose creativity and dedication earned this recognition,” says Leeanne Conrad, director of Marketing, Communications and External Engagement. “Wider Horizons exemplifies how we celebrate and share the stories of our people and community in ways that reflect Lethbridge Polytechnic’s vision to prepare learners and shape communities, and we’re proud to see this work resonate beyond our campus.”
