Lethbridge College is ready to celebrate spring graduates with two convocation ceremonies and an Indigenous Honour Night.

Convocation ceremonies will take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.

Lethbridge College will also recognize Indigenous graduates from fall 2023 and spring 2024 at an Honour Night in the Garden Court Restaurant. The evening event will bring Indigenous graduates and their families and friends together for food, gifts, speeches and more.

More than 1,200 students are receiving degrees, diplomas or certificates from the college this month, and approximately 550 of them are expected to cross the stage Friday.

These students have come to Lethbridge College from across the city, the province, the country and the world – including international students from 21 different countries – and more than 250 students who have learned online.

The morning ceremony will honour graduates from the Centre for Technology, Environment and Design, the Centre for Trades and the Centre for Justice and Human Services. The afternoon ceremony will recognize graduates from the Centre for Business, Arts and Sciences and the Centre for Health and Wellness.

Both ceremonies will include a formal recognition of the accomplishments of valedictorian Annette Kampert.

Each ceremony will also be livestreamed at lethpolytech.ca/convocation.

Lethbridge College would also like to recognize the Nursing Education in Southwestern Alberta (NESA) students who will be celebrated at convocation at the University of Lethbridge next week. These students spent their first two years at the college and are the first cohort to complete the revised curriculum.
