Summer is just underway, but Lethbridge Polytechnic is already gearing up for Coulee Fest – a much-loved September event that is free and fun for the entire family.
This year’s celebration will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 14 on the campus’s east lawn.
Attendees can look forward to:
- Live entertainment
- A ride-on monster truck called Area 51, owned by alumnus Don Frankish (Agricultural and Heavy Equipment Technician 1986, Automotive 1985, Welding 1984) of Frankish Enterprises
- A petting zoo (expanded from previous years) and animal education throughout the day, thanks to Gentle Giant Acres
- A Big Truck Zone, expanded from past years to include City of Lethbridge vehicles including garbage trucks and police cruisers
- A vendor’s market captained by Hey Dough Cookie Co.
- And more!
"We are fiercely passionate about bringing our community together and Coulee Fest continues to be one of our favourite ways to do that," says Stephanie Savage, Alumni and Engagement manager. "We want Coulee Fest to be an inclusive and exciting celebration not only for students and employees but for our whole community. At Lethbridge Polytechnic, we are all Kodiaks, and we extend a warm invitation to anyone who wants to join in on the fun!"
Further information, including a detailed schedule of events, will be posted on the official Coulee Fest website and Lethbridge Polytechnic social media channels in the coming weeks.
Applications for the Coulee Fest Market by Hey Dough Cookie Co. open today.
