a group of students gathered in Centre CoreProspective students are free to explore Lethbridge College and all it has to offer during Saturday’s campus-wide Winter Open House.

Visitors can browse information booths in Centre Core to learn all about student support services before touring labs and classrooms that highlight some of the 60-plus certificate, diploma, degree and apprenticeship programs offered at the college.

Instructors and current Lethbridge College students will also be on hand to answer questions about programs and campus life, and to point scavenger hunt participants in the right directions.

“Open House is an exciting opportunity for prospective students to check out our amazing classrooms, talk to current students and discover what Lethbridge College's atmosphere and campus life is all about,” says Marko Hilgersom, Registrar. “Parents can also visit the institution, have their questions answered and be fully involved in supporting students' decisions.”

A free lunch of chili or soup will be served between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. near the Food Court, courtesy of the college’s Culinary Arts program.

Attendees are also invited to stop by the new, state-of-the-art Kodiaks esports studio (AN1530) for a drop-in mini tournament or try out a Mario Kart-themed activity in Centre Core to learn about the history of Lethbridge College and the benefits of being part of the alumni community.

Open House is free to attend between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, but interested students are asked to register in advance for a chance to win one of three great prizes, including an e-scooter.

In addition, those who attend and would like to apply to the college will also have the $100 application fee reduced by 50 per cent. And, as a fun memento, a caricature artist will capture the day by drawing accepted applicants in their future careers.
