Prospective students attend Lethbridge College's Open House in 2018.

Prospective students are invited to learn more about what Lethbridge College has to offer at Open House this Saturday, March 5.

Whether it’s in-person or online, prospective students will have the opportunity to meet with expert instructors, find out more about future careers and experience the college’s friendly campus and supportive environment. Participants can explore the college’s range of student services, including Indigenous Services, Residence and the Lethbridge College Students’ Association. Information on academic and financial supports will also be available.

Those wanting to attend in-person, can do so from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Centre Core. Free parking will be available in lots O and N.

The virtual event runs 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at explorelc.ca.

“Open House is an excellent opportunity for all high school students, not just those who are about to graduate, to learn more about Lethbridge College,” says Deanna Gonnelly, Student Success and Advising manager with Student Affairs. "We’re excited to welcome all learners, either in-person or online, so they can explore areas of interest or perhaps discover a new career path. Lethbridge College has more than 65 certificate, diploma, applied degree and apprenticeship programs to choose from and many are nationally accredited. There’s something for everyone at LC.”

A special session, for parents of prospective students, is also being offered from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. both in-person and online. Participants will get to speak with parents of current LC students who will share their experiences, challenges and successes.

Open House is free to attend but interested students are asked to pre-register for a chance to win one of three $500 tuition credits.

As an added incentive, the $100 application fee will be reduced by 50 per cent between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday for anyone who applies to an available program with a Spring 2022, Fall 2022 or Winter 2023 intake.
