Lethbridge College is ready to reopen its Recreation Services to the public for the first time in over a year. Beginning July 19, the fitness centre, Val Matteotti Gymnasium, squash and racquetball courts, the dance studio and other amenities will once again be available for bookings by Lethbridge College alumni and community members.

“We are so excited to welcome everyone back to our campus and into our facilities,” says Todd Caughlin, manager of Kodiaks Athletics. “We want to thank everyone for their patience throughout this pandemic as we worked to keep our campus safe for our students and employees. Our community members and alumni are an important part of our culture, and it is great that we can now bring them back to campus and our top-notch facilities.”

As the facilities get ready to reopen to the public, there are a few changes users will want to know ahead of coming to campus. All workout blocks, court rentals in the Val Matteotti gymnasium and squash and racquetball courts must be booked in advance through lcfitness.ca – there will be no drop-in times available. All users must also fill out a COVID-19 waiver on lcfitness.ca prior to every use of the Recreation Services facilities.

The top goal of Lethbridge College’s Recreation Services team is to keep all users healthy and safe, so enhanced cleaning of all areas will continue between workout blocks, and the use of masks while moving around the facility is highly recommended.

To learn more or to book workout times or court rentals, visit lcfitness.ca or call 403-382-6903.
