Enjoy a cup of Uni-Tea with international students

To help our international students connect with the college community, Lethbridge College’s Student Affairs department and the Lethbridge College Students’ Association are joining forces for Uni-Tea, an event in The Cave (CE1300). International students are invited to enjoy a cup of tea and conversation with other students. Facilitators will be on hand to help ensure the conversation gets moving. This event is part of an ongoing effort to support the mental health and wellness of our all students by encouraging them to connect with others in the community.

Wednesday, Jan. 22 and Thursday, Jan. 23, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Enjoy Lunch Express in the Garden Court

When our Culinary students graduate from Lethbridge College, they enter the world of work with plenty of valuable experience planning menus, ordering supplies and making delicious meals to please a crowd. How do they get all that experience? With the help of patrons in the Garden Court Dining Room. This week, diners can book for Lunch Express, a three-course meal of appetizer, main dish and dessert. You’ve got to reserve your table in advance by calling 403-320-3230 or book through the Garden Court Facebook page.

Make Some Noise for Mental Health night

Lethbridge College will hold a Junior and Senior High Appreciation Night during the Kodiaks basketball games. Doors open at 5 p.m., with the women’s game starting at 6 p.m., and the men’s game to follow at 8 p.m., as the Red Deer College Queens and Kings visit the Val Matteotti Gymnasium. Junior and senior high students and their chaperones will receive free admission and food and have a chance to win swag and prizes. Students will have a chance to win one of four Kodiaks’ summer sports camp passes, valued at $190 each. Adding to this special event, it’s RBC’s Make Some Noise for Mental Health night. Representatives from RBC will be at the game with giveaways of their own. The Kodiaks are proud to be part of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) conference-wide awareness campaign to break stigmas about mental health. The Kodiaks volleyball teams will be making their own noise for mental health on Thursday, Jan. 30 against Ambrose.

Saturday, Jan. 25, 1 and 3 p.m.

Kodiaks basketball weekend continues

The Lethbridge College Kodiaks basketball teams will face Red Deer College for a second consecutive day at Val Matteotti Gymnasium. The women’s game starts at 1 p.m., with the men’s game to follow. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors, youth and Lethbridge College alumni, $4 for college staff and free for LC students.
