College hosts cross-country design challenge

Five agricultural students each from Lethbridge College, Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Agriculture and McGill University’s Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences will come together on the LC campus for a weekend-long workshop we’re calling McDalBridge 2019. The weekend is a compressed version of Lethbridge College’s Agriculture Entrepreneur in Residence (AgENT) program. Students will practice transferable problem-solving skills and draw on their experiences from diverse agricultural settings to work in cross-cultural teams to discover, design and deliver prototype concept solutions to real-world problems. McDalBridge 2019 is sponsored by Farm Credit Canada and the three participating post-secondary institutions. The event begins with a welcome dinner Thursday evening. The challenge will be introduced Friday morning.

Sunday, Sept. 22, noon and 2 p.m.
