Gourmet dinner full of flavour but free of gluten and dairy
The Lethbridge College Culinary Careers program will works its magic on a dinner especially for those who can’t consume gluten or dairy. This 10th annual family-friendly Gluten and Dairy Free Dinner will be held in the Garden Court Restaurant. How amazing is the menu? The second course includes a spiced roasted duck with carmelized fennel and parsnip puree and coconut and macadamia sticky rice. The main course is beef with fingerling potatoes and veggies, and dessert includes a citrus shortbread. This dinner is held a partnership with the Canadian Celiac Association.

There’s just a handful of evening dining opportunities left in Lethbridge College’s Garden Court Restaurant and tonight’s one of those nights. The Garden Court Restaurant gives our Culinary Arts students real-world experience operating a fine dining restaurant and gives patrons some amazing meals!

Criminal Justice students, agencies network
Criminal Justice Networking Day is a semi-annual event that brings representatives of public safety organizations and agencies to Lethbridge College to meet with Criminal Justice students. For this winter session, there will be about 110 Criminal Justice - Policing diploma students attending. Nineteen public safety agencies from Alberta and Saskatchewan have confirmed their attendance. Networking Day will be held in the Instructional Building. The event is part of the curriculum, so it is not open to the public. Discover Engineering Technologies
Lethbridge College welcomes the public to Discovery Day at the School of Engineering Technologies. Visitors to campus can experience the latest technology used in our three engineering programs, meet instructors and alumni to discuss job opportunities in this field, and explore interactive sessions, demonstrations and visit our engineering labs. Lethbridge College has three engineering programs: Engineering Design and Drafting Technology; Geomatics Engineering Technology (digital mapping and surveying); and Civil Engineering Technology.

Consultation seeks input on increasing diversity in post-secondary research
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) is holding consultation workshops across Canada to seek input on a proposed draft charter outlining key principles of the Canadian Athena SWAN model. A first round of consultations was held in the fall. The Athena SWAN (Scientific Women’s Academic Network) initiative began in the United Kingdom with a goal of increasing equity, diversity and inclusion in research.
