Library kicks off Food for Fines food drive

The Buchanan Library will kick off its Food for Fines food drive today. The theme is Spring into Giving. From now until April 26, library users can donate food items at the library to support the Lethbridge College Students’ Association food bank. If you have outstanding overdue fees, making a donation may be a way to have your fines forgiven. Some restrictions apply. Visit the library for details. As students from outside of Lethbridge finish their term, they may be packing up their residence unit or off-campus housing. If so, this is a great opportunity to donate food being cleaned out of kitchens.

The clothes, suitable for everything from office jobs to trades, will be displayed at a Career Closet event on March 28, giving students access to clothing for job interviews and first jobs. Donations should be clean and ready for hanging and display.
