Building on the success of its first two years, Coulee Fest will return to Lethbridge College this September. Launched as part of the college’s 60th anniversary celebrations in 2017, Coulee Fest has turned into an annual celebration for the college and the entire community.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14, on the Lethbridge College campus. Approximately 3,500 people attended Coulee Fest in 2018.

“The community reaction made it obvious that Coulee Fest should continue to be a part of our campus celebrations,” says Sydney Wakaruk, Alumni Relations coordinator and Coulee Fest organizer. “The goal of the festival remains the same – we want to bring together the entire southern Alberta community for a fun-filled day as a way to say thank you to everyone who has supported the college and its place in the Lethbridge community for more than 60 years.”

LC-Coulee-Fest-1.jpg Major details will be confirmed as the year moves along, but the staples of Coulee Fest will continue, including live entertainment, food trucks, beer gardens, program information, family fun and much more.

What the Junk outdoor market will also return for a second year, bringing more than 35 vendors, offering a range of handmade home decor, antiques, up-cycled clothing and more. Vendors interested in being a part of the outdoor market for Coulee Fest 2019 are encouraged to contact Shanna Bikman at whatthejunk15@gmail.com.

Coulee Fest 2019 planning is in its early stages, so food trucks, entertainment or vendors interested in being a part of the festivities are welcome to contact the college to talk about possible involvement. Event organizer Sydney Wakaruk can be contacted by email at alumni@lethpolytech.ca or by phone at 403-329-7220.
