LC-Coulee-Fest-Petting-Zoo-1.jpg Pet a goat, try out your favourite sport against real Kodiaks athletes or bounce until your legs go to jelly. All are possible as Coulee Fest returns to Lethbridge College tomorrow.

The annual free family festival takes place from 1 to 7 p.m. on the college’s east lawn. While beer gardens, food trucks and live music – including a headlining show from Leeroy Stagger – may appeal to an older crowd, there is no shortage of fun for the entire family at this annual celebration.

Back for its third year is the always-popular petting zoo, where participants can get up close and personal with goats, sheep, pigs and other four-legged friends. It’s just one of many activities geared for children, including:

  • Jumping on two bouncy castles
  • Exploring the college’s interactive and innovative outdoor play space
  • Meeting real-life Disney princesses and Kodi the Bear as they wander the grounds
  • Testing their design skills with an Indigenous craft
  • Taking a throw at the dunk tank, where a variety of Lethbridge College personalities will be taking a seat (including President and CEO Dr. Paula Burns at 3:30 p.m.)
  • Spinning the Lethbridge College prize wheel to earn a variety of prizes
  • Getting a fake tattoo from the college’s Nursing program
  • Trying out an interactive Policing experience that includes fingerprinting, suspect sketching and physical fitness to earn prizes
  • Exploring a huge display of military, fire and police vehicles

The third annual Coulee Fest is a free family festival that features live music, interactive program showcases, 16 food trucks, family fun areas, What the Junk vintage market and a beer gardens. Coulee Fest runs from 1 to 7 p.m. on Lethbridge College’s east lawn, concluding with a headlining concert from award-winning singer-songwriter Leeroy Stagger on the Brighter Together Stage at 6 p.m. All on-campus parking is free.
