Update #2 - Monday, Sept. 30 - 3:30 p.m.

The Lethbridge College campus will re-open and classes and business operations will take place as normal on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

The campus was closed and classes were cancelled on Monday, Sept. 30, due to extreme winter weather. The safety of our students and employees is still our priority, so if any students are still unable to make it to campus, they should inform their instructors. If any employees are still unable to make it to campus, they should inform their supervisors.

Parking lots and pathways may be icy and snowy, so everyone should take extra care while making their way around campus.

Lethbridge College thanks everyone for their cooperation during this unusual September snow storm. And a special thank you goes to the facilities staff who have been working hard to prepare campus for everyone’s return tomorrow.

Remember, the Orange Shirt Day event that was scheduled for Monday, will now take place on Wednesday, Oct. 2, beginning at 10 a.m.

Update #1 - Sunday, Sept. 29 - 6 p.m.

The Lethbridge College campus will be closed on Monday, Sept. 30.

Due to the weekend snowstorm and the likelihood that the snow will continue into Monday, classes will be cancelled and there will be no access to campus services. Centre Core will be the only building to remain open on campus and security will be on-site in case anyone does come to campus.

The college is committed to putting the safety of its students and employees first. All students and employees are encouraged to stay home and stay safe.

Any students who have questions about their classes are encouraged to contact their instructors.

The Orange Shirt Day ceremony scheduled for Monday, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Please continue to be safe as we ride out this storm in southern Alberta.

Further updates will be posted to the Lethbridge College website and social media channels.
