news-archive-blood-drive-2013.jpgLethbridge College is proud to join forces with Lethbridge College Students’ Association to launch the sixth annual college blood drive.

The college hosts this annual blood drive challenging Lethbridge College students, staff and alumni to donate blood during the month of November. Canadian Blood Services and Lethbridge College hope that this friendly competition will inspire each team to rally their friends and family to give the gift of life to their community.

The goal of this year’s campaign is to help Canadian Blood Services collect 280 units of blood. They encourage Lethbridge area residents to give blood in support of their favourite team.

Lethbridge College has been involved with Canadian Blood Services since June 2008 when it introduced its first blood drive.  As one of the largest organizations in Lethbridge, they understand the importance of being a socially responsible organization.

After five successful blood drives, Lethbridge College recently formalized its relationship with Canadian Blood Services by joining the Partners For Life Program. Partners For Life is a nationwide program designed for corporate and community organizations. By joining the program, organizations make a commitment to save lives by donating blood as a team.  As a Partner for Life, Lethbridge College has joined 474 Alberta companies who have committed to helping ensure that patients continue to get the blood they need. Lethbridge College has pledged to donate 280 donations in 2013. To have your donations count towards their donation goal, register at www.blood.ca/joinpartnersforlife using Partner ID number: LETH010182 (four alpha characters, six numeric)

Call 1 888 2 DONATE (1 888 236-6283) for clinic information, eligibility information or to book an appointment or book online at blood.ca.
