Canada’s top female college basketball players will gather at Lethbridge College for the BMO2012 CCAA Women’s National Basketball Championship March 15-17.

The tournament features the top eight women’s college basketball teams in Canada:

1. MacEwan Griffins (ACAC champion / Edmonton, Alta)

2. Dawson Blues (RSEQ champion/ Montreal, Que)

3. UNBC Timberwolves (PACWEST champion/ Prince George, B.C.)

4. Dynamiques Sainte-Foy (RSEQ silver/ Sainte Foy, Que)

5. St Thomas Tommies (ACAA champion/ Fredericton, N.B.)

6. Algonquin Thunder (OCAA champion/ Nepean, Ont)

7. Lethbridge Kodiaks (host/ Lethbridge, Alta)

8. Seneca Sting (OCAA silver/ Toronto, Ont)

Awards will be presented for the All-Canadian team, Player and Coach of the Year at a banquet to be held at the Sandman Hotel Wednesday. The competition kicks off on Thursday and wraps up on Saturday in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium at Lethbridge College.

Game #1 - 1 p.m. Dynamiques Sainte-Foy vs. St Thomas Tommies

Game # 2 - 3 p.m. MacEwan Griffins vs. Seneca Sting

Game # 3 - 6 p.m. Dawson Blues vs. Lethbridge Kodiaks

Game # 4 - 8 p.m. UNBC Timberwolves vs. Algonquin Thunder

Friday

Game # 5 - 1 p.m. Losers of game 1 & 2

Game # 6 - 3 p.m. Losers of game 3 & 4

Game # 7 - 6 p.m. Winners of game 1 & 2 (semi-final)

Game # 8 - 8 p.m. Winners of game 3 & 4 (semi-final)

Saturday

Game # 9 - 10 a.m. Losers of game 7 & Winners of game 6

Game # 10 - 12 p.m. Losers of game 8 vs. Winners of game 5

Game # 11 - 2 p.m. Losers of game 5 & 6 (7th/8th place)

Game # 12 - 6 p.m. Winners of game 9 & 10 (Bronze Medal)

Game # 13 - 8 p.m. Winners of game 7 & 8 (Gold Medal)
