Lethbridge College announced today that BMO Financial Group has become the title sponsor for the 2012 Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) Women’s National Basketball Championships, March 15 to 17.

“Through our corporate sponsorship and donations programs BMO proudly supports a broad range of initiatives in Canada, including education, health care, arts and culture, community development and sports and athletics. The sponsorship of the Women’s National Basketball Championships in Lethbridge next year is another example of our support for celebrating excellence in amateur sports,” said Mike Suzuki, Vice President, Albert South District, BMO Bank of Montreal.

The eight-team championship will feature the top CCAA teams from Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. (It does not include Manitoba or Saskatchewan.)

“Lethbridge College is excited to have BMO on board for this national event in support of the athletic endeavours of our students,” says Bill Dean, Kodiaks Athletics Manager. “Hosting the CCAA National Women’s Basketball Championship is a great opportunity to showcase our student-athletes and those from across the nation.”
