New Student Orientation on Sept. 8, 2026, is your official welcome to Lethbridge Polytechnic! It is a fun-filled day designed to help you feel prepared, inspired and connected as you begin your journey as a Kodiak.
Agenda for the day
- 9 to 10 a.m. check-in
- 10 a.m. to noon program orientations*
- Noon to 2 p.m. Lethbridge Polytechnic Students’ Association BBQ
- 1 to 2 p.m. First Nations, Métis and Inuit Student Welcome
- 1 to 3 p.m. campus tours
Activities throughout the day
Alongside the main schedule, students can enjoy a variety of interactive and welcoming activities throughout the day, including:
- Doggy Destress
- Crafts and Connections
- LEGO activity station
A check-in and welcome bag distribution desk will be available throughout the day for students who arrive later or still need to pick up their welcome materials.
These activities are designed to help you relax, meet new people and feel at home on campus.
*Orientation looks different for each program. While most programs will hold their orientation sessions Sept. 8, others may schedule their orientations on different dates or at different times.
