Artificial Intelligence Policy

This policy outlines Lethbridge Polytechnic’s approach to the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in alignment with institutional goals, values, and legal obligations. It provides high-level direction for the ethical, secure, transparent, and appropriate use of AI across academic, research, administrative, and operational contexts. This policy establishes institutional guardrails while enabling the development of more specific standards, procedures, and guidance for particular use cases. This policy is intended to be read together with the AI Risk Tier Framework, the Software Acquisition and Use Standard Operating Procedure, and the Data Management and Governance Policy.
