In-class Workshops
Faculty can request an in-class workshop, during which an Academic Strategist will facilitate an interactive workshop or information session for your students. We can give a 10-15 minute overview of our services or present on topics like APA Basics, multiple choice test taking, or working successfully in a group.

Integrated Student Supports
Faculty can invite an Academic Strategist to integrate into a course. Here are common examples of what an Integrated Academic Strategist can do:
- Introduce themself to your class, so your students are more likely to seek support when they need it.
- Collaborate with you to build a custom in-class workshop or resource.
- Add an APA resource page or discussion forum to your Canvas course.
- Send Canvas announcements to your students with study tips. You can choose the dates and topics or leave that to us.
To request integrated supports or learn more:
- Visit the Integrated Student Support webpage
- Fill out an Integrated Support request form
- This is the most efficient way to request multiple supports for the same course
- Connect with Jude Bialik, the Integrated Student Support Coordinator for Student Learning Services, over email (jude.bialik@lethpolytech.ca) or through CTLI’s faculty consult form.
Peer Tutor Recommendation
Peer Tutors are valued members of the Lethbridge Polytechnic team. They support students who are struggling with their courses by assisting with course content and review. You may have a student in your class who displays outstanding interpersonal skills, good listening skills and has a genuine concern for their fellow students. We would like to hear about them and possibly hire them as a Peer Tutor. Once you fill out the recommendation form, we will contact the student to see if they are interested in becoming a Peer Tutor. A recommendation by an instructor is a required component of the Peer Tutor application.
