Lethbridge Polytechnic’s Academic Success team.
Student Learning Services staff are available in person and online to help you with academic writing, APA, science, math and study skills.
Whatever your definition of academic success, our Academic Strategists and Peer Tutors can help you develop strategies and knowledge to meet your goals. You can request a peer tutor, book an appointment with an academic strategist, access our online learning resources, or reach out when you see us at events or in your classes.
Academic strategists
Our Academic Strategists are full-time staff with at least one university degree. They can support you with:
- Academic writing, citing, and APA
- Math and science, including most trades math, medical math, and statistics
- Study skills, like time management, exam strategies, and memory retention
You can connect with an Academic Strategist by:
- Booking an appointment
- Dropping in
- Submitting to the Drop Zone
You may also see an Integrated Academic Strategist in one of your classes. You can email or message them directly for support customized to that course.
Peer tutoring
If you are experiencing difficulties with specialized course content not typically supported by our academic strategists, peer tutoring might just be the answer for you. We provide free one-on-one and group learning assistance to students in Lethbridge Polytechnic credit courses.

Our space
The Student Learning Services is located in the Student Learning Hub, near the Buchanan Library (Niitsitapi’ksimpstaan) entrance. This puts us close to the Centre Core and other Student Support Services, like Accessibility Services, the Library Info Desk, Wellness Services, and the LPSA office.
The Student Learning Hub also contains a small amount of semi-private workspace available to students, as well as a single-stall gender neutral bathroom available to both staff and students.
