As a Designated Learning Institution (DLI # O19391056756 – begins with the letter “O”, not zero), approved by the Alberta Government, Lethbridge Polytechnic offers academic programs to international students, which enables them to be eligible for immigration programs such as the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) program.

International admission requirements

 

International applications are evaluated on a competitive basis, taking into account factors such as grades, English language proficiency, and campus diversity.

International document assessment

 

International students whose first language is not English must also meet English language proficiency requirements.

Program costs

International tuition fee estimates and overall program rates are based on the 2024-2025 academic year and are subject to change for the 2025-2026 academic year upon annual review each May. The Alberta Ministry of Education approves all tuition rates for Lethbridge Polytechnic programs.

Important note:  Tuition payment and refund deadlines are applicable if you receive a visa or study permit refusal after the program has started. If you have any questions, contact us for more information.

Immigration and study permits

You are required to get a study permit for any program that is more than six months in duration. For more information on how to apply for a study permit or the PGWP program, visit Immigration, Refugees, Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website here.
