FAQ

Can I still buy my permit at the Bookstore?

No, all student permits 1-month or longer must be purchased through Honk Mobile.

Do I need the Honk Mobile app?

You can use the app or the Honk Mobile website.

Do I need a physical permit?

Yes. Long-term parking (1-Month or longer) is only valid when your physical permit is displayed.

How do I get my physical permit?

After purchasing on Honk Mobile, please allow us 24 hours to prepare your permit.  Then bring your receipt number (viewable from the Honk app) to the Security Office (CE1303).

Do I need to register my vehicle?

Your vehicle license plate is required during the Honk Mobile app registration.  No extra steps needed.

What lots can I park in?

You can only park in the lot indicated on your permit.  Parking in other lots other than the one your permit is valid in, will result in a parking ticket.

What if I change vehicles or plates?

You can change your license plate in the Honk Mobile app.  Be sure you have the correct plate number when you park.

If I need to, how can I get a refund?

Refunds are subject to Parking Services policy. Contact parking@lethpolytech.ca for details.

When can I buy a permit?

Fall and annual permits will be available for purchase in early August.  Winter Semester permits will be available for purchase in early December.

How can I renew my Fall Semester permit for the Winter Semester?

Make the purchase for the winter semester in the Honk Mobile app.  Bring your fall permit and the new receipt number (viewable from the Honk app) to the Security office for the new valid security sticker.

Do I need a parking permit in the spring and summer (May to Aug)?

Yes, parking enforcement is year-round.  You can purchase monthly or a summer semester permit.

I need motorcycle parking, what do I do?

Come to the Facilities Office CE2301 with your proof of purchase (viewable from the Honk app) to get a metal motorcycle parking tag.  This tag will need to be placed somewhere visible on your motorcycle.  The license plate bolt is best, or zip tied near the handlebars.  You can only have 1 registered vehicle on campus at a time.
