Lethbridge Polytechnic’s Marketing, Communications and External Engagement team has been recognized for its work on Wider Horizons, the institution’s alumni and community magazine. The Winter, Spring and Fall 2024 issues received a total of 11 industry awards on the provincial, regional and international level. 

Lethbridge Polytechnic is ready to celebrate its fall graduates at Convocation this weekend. Nearly 570 students are receiving degrees, diplomas, certificates and apprenticeship credentials this month and more than 220 of them are expected to cross the stage on Saturday.

Computer Information Technology (CIT) student Mary Lou Masculino has been named valedictorian for Lethbridge Polytechnic’s Fall 2025 Convocation. Originally from Victorias City, Philippines, Masculino arrived in Lethbridge in July 2023 as an international student. 

With National Ice Cream Day just around the corner, one Lethbridge Polytechnic researcher is celebrating with more than just a scoop of her favourite flavour – she’s using ice cream to spark conversations about food sustainability, health and innovation.

A Lethbridge Polytechnic instructor is making an international impact by helping students and educators navigate academic writing in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).

For the 10th consecutive year, employees, students, alumni and community members will come together to raise the Pride Flag at Lethbridge Polytechnic. The symbolic event, to be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow, shows support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and reinforces the institution’s commitment to kindness, inclusivity and caring for one another. 

Mark your calendars because Coulee Fest 2025 has been set for Saturday, Sept. 13 at Lethbridge Polytechnic! The fun goes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. so bring your friends and family for a day of adventure and community spirit at southern Alberta’s favourite little fair.

History is in the making this week, as the first graduates of Lethbridge Polytechnic get set to cross the stage at Spring 2025 Convocation.

The Lethbridge Polytechnic flag will be lowered until April 14 to honour Dean Gallimore, chair of the University of Lethbridge Board of Governors, who passed away April 6. Our condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

This year's winners of the Teaching Excellence Award and Rookie of the Year are Nichole Fox and Rylan Spenrath, respectively. The annual awards from the Lethbridge Polytechnic Faculty Association and Lethbridge Polytechnic Students' Association are student-nominated. There were 198 nominations this year. Congratulations!
