Tecconnect Challenge gives students real-world creative pitch experience
A real client with a real business challenge will anchor a hands-on learning experience for Lethbridge Polytechnic students Wednesday, as teams from the Multimedia Production (MMP) and Digital Communications and Media (DCM) programs take on the Tecconnect Challenge.

Lethbridge Polytechnic plumber apprentice taking his skills to WorldSkills Competition
For the second year in a row, Kylar Bloomberg (third year, Plumber Apprentice) has earned silver at Skills Canada. The national competition was held May 29 and 30 in Regina, Sask. Bloomberg will now go on to represent Canada at the 2026 WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China, as the gold-medal winner does not meet the age requirement.
Lethbridge Polytechnic student to support federal election coverage during Troy Reeb Internship
First-year Digital Communications and Media (DCM) student Jody-Ann Smikle has earned the Troy Reeb Internship thanks to an article she wrote about student financial literacy. Smikle is the 20th recipient of this prestigious award, and only the third first-year student to be selected.
Agriculture Sciences grad named first Lethbridge Polytechnic valedictorian
Agriculture Sciences – Agronomy student, Abigayle (Abby) Terrill, has been named valedictorian of the first class to graduate from Lethbridge Polytechnic. She will lead the procession of graduates and speak at the afternoon ceremony planned for 2 p.m. May 23 in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.
