After a six-year hiatus, Lethbridge Polytechnic is proud to announce the return of one of the community’s most-popular golf tournaments. The Lethbridge Polytechnic golf tournament will take place Aug. 28 at the Lethbridge Country Club and will raise funds for student-athletes as well as Kodiaks Athletics programs.

The top women’s basketball teams in the Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference (ACAC) will be shooting for gold this week at Lethbridge College. Presented by Fox Drilling, the 2023 ACAC Women’s Basketball Championship runs March 2 to 4 in the Val Matteotti Gymnasium. The host Kodiaks will compete alongside seven other teams for the chance at an ACAC title and a spot at nationals later in March.

With growing interest, a dedicated space on campus and an official adoption into Kodiaks Athletics, Lethbridge College’s esports program is ready to hit the ground running on its first full season in the 2022-23 academic year.

The floor of the Val Matteotti Gymnasium at Lethbridge College is sporting a brand-new look these days. After years of the status quo, the most recent sanding and refinishing project has revealed a bold, new court. At centre, is a black Kodiaks logo emblazoned over powder-blue stain – a prominent colour of the college’s athletics teams.

The Kodiaks men’s volleyball team got a first-hand look at small town generosity last month when their bus became stranded in rural Saskatchewan. The team was on its way to Caronport Jan. 20 for a weekend series against Briercrest College. While road conditions were favourable early in the trip, freezing rain was causing serious issues east of Maple Creek.

Lethbridge College is ready to make its mark as a hub for esports activity in southern Alberta. With the popularity of esports on the rise, the college has launched initiatives to promote gaming at the competitive, recreational and community levels.

Lethbridge College Kodiaks fans will be able to cheer on a familiar face at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games next week. Payden Vair is a member of Canadian's national sitting volleyball team.

The Lethbridge College Kodiaks are set to roar once again, as plans are underway to return to action later this year. The Kodiaks have joined the rest of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) in preparing plans for a 2021-22 athletic season.

Lethbridge College, along with several other provincial post-secondary institutions, has made the collective decision to forgo competing in the 2021 ACAC winter season for basketball, volleyball and futsal.

The Kodiaks are one of 12 institutions from across Canada taking part in the inaugural Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) FIFA20 Gaming Challenge. The tournament follows the increasing trend of e-sports as a form of competition.
