An overview of core concepts of wellness and health issues, including dimensions of wellness, emphasizing their interconnectedness in promoting health. It explores concepts of health from both individual and community perspectives, including equity issues and health outcomes, current and chronic health conditions, and the economic impact on the healthcare system. Students will analyze personal health issues and identify individualized strategies to improve various dimensions of health and wellness. The course emphasizes building resiliency and empowering individuals to take responsibility for their own health and well-being. Not available for supplemental.
