International Convocates
Students should check their Lethbridge Polytechnic email and this webpage for more developments in the weeks to come.
It is not mandatory for graduates to attend the Lethbridge Polytechnic Convocation ceremony and students will graduate by successfully completing all academic program requirements.
The Registrar's Office will no longer be issuing letters of invitation for Convocation to international students. If you will have family or friends from outside of Canada who require a letter of invitation for a visitor visa to attend the convocation ceremony the letter will need to be written by you and sent to the visitor so they can use it for their visa application, if requested by the IRCC. For information about what to include in the letter visit https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/letter-invitation.html
**Please encourage your guests to check the processing times for visitor visas and ensure they submit their application well in advance. To check processing times, visit https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html
Convocates are able to invite six (6) guests to the ceremony as there is limited seating in the gymnasium.
If you have any additional questions, please email them to convocation@lethpolytech.ca.
If you or any of your guests feel ill on the day of the event, please remain home. Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe and healthy.
