Jennifer Petracek-Kolb was appointed as a public member of the Lethbridge Polytechnic Board of Governors on June 19.
Petracek-Kolb’s professional journey has always been rooted in the not-for-profit and charitable sector. She held the fulfilling position of Senior Director for the YMCA of Moose Jaw, where she opened and operated six licensed not-for profit childcare programs.
In 2012, Petracek-Kolb, her husband and three children moved from the prairies of Sask. to the city of Lethbridge. She became the first Executive Director for the Meals on Wheels Society in Lethbridge and, with the support of many invested Association members and leaders, helped navigate organizational changes to ensure long term sustainability of this important network by moving the program to the Lethbridge Senior Citizen's Organization.
Petracek-Kolb took on the role of CEO at the YMCA of Lethbridge in 2013, where she has worked ever since, championing the organization's mission to build a healthier community by providing safe spaces for people of all ages to improve their overall wellbeing.
Petracek-Kolb is excited to be joining Lethbridge Polytechnic’s Board of Governors, a decision driven by her desire to be part of a local association that serves to grow our generation of young leaders and serves the needs of the region at large.
