Dave Jackson brings nearly five decades of experience in the construction industry and a strong record of community involvement to the Board of Governors. As the owner and operator of Lealta Building Supplies for 19 years, Dave has been a dedicated leader in the local construction sector, known for building relationships and supporting community growth.

He has served on numerous committees, including as President and Past President of the Henderson Lake Golf Club, and as a member of the Sexton Buying Group Steering Committee, the Lethbridge Polytechnic Golf Tournament Committee, and fundraising initiatives for the STARS Foundation, Wide Skies Music Festival, and the Clayton Allan Wine Auction.

A passionate community supporter, Dave has contributed to many local charities, including Youth One Drop-In Centre, Beauty from Within, the YWCA, Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association, Streets Alive, the Lethbridge Food Bank, and SACLA Community Cabaret. Under his leadership, Lealta Building Supplies received the Small Business Philanthropist Award in 2021, and Dave was honoured with an Honorary Bachelor of Arts degree from Lethbridge College, (now Lethbridge Polytechnci) in 2023.

A proud husband of a Polytechnic graduate and devoted father and grandfather, Dave has also made significant contributions to education, including supporting a scholarship for carpentry students and donating to the Trades & Technology Building. He is honoured to serve on the Board of Governors and is committed to helping make Lethbridge Polytechnic a respected and successful place of learning.
