With nearly 25 years of experience in emergency services, she currently serves as Program Manager of the Lethbridge Police Service Victim/Witness Services Unit, where she leads a dedicated team of approximately 70 staff and volunteers. In this role, she also works closely with Cruiser, an ADI-accredited black Labrador Facility Dog, supporting victims of crime as they navigate the justice system. She was honoured to receive the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of her service to the Lethbridge community.
Her commitment to service extends well beyond her professional role. She volunteers as a puppy raiser with Dogs with Wings Assistance Dog Society and previously served for 10 years as a volunteer firefighter in Vulcan County, taking on roles including Medical First Responder and Training Captain.
She recently completed a Master of Arts in Leadership at Royal Roads University (2025), where her research focused on resilience in first responder leadership and organizational culture. During this time, she received the Founders’ Award in recognition of her leadership and commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
She is grateful to live and work on Niitsitapi territory and strives to be a respectful guest. One of the greatest honours of her life was receiving the Blackfoot name Anut’sipis’taakii (Pretty Owl Woman) from Elder Ninnaapiim (Warren Drunkenchief).
Above all, she is a proud mother to three adult children—Hannah, Meghan, and Kane—and wife to her husband, Sean. She also shares her life with three beloved dogs—Harrison, Audi, and Cruiser—and, in her free time, enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and tending to her garden.
